WHAT WE EMBRACE:
Folk duo, What We Embrace draw from their Americana influence to create dulcet harmonies that tell stories of journeys. Some triumphant, some less so. Husband and wife songwriting duo Lindalouise and Dougie draw from their varied creative journeys to create a sound that warms your heart, soothes your soul, encapsulates you and carries you with them. Their story is one of packing their world into two suitcases, moving halfway across the world for one dream that then became two. We often find ourselves in moments quite unexpected and we find then, we all are what we embrace.
A washed-up, divorced, recovering alcoholic struggles to reconnect to the Vancouver music scene after a long hiatus and many years of self-neglect. Bird Parade is the solo project of Indigenous singer/songwriter Francis Baptiste. With extensive stage and studio experience, Baptiste has performed throughout Western Canada with various bands. Baptiste grew up on a small Indian Reservation in the Okanagan Valley before moving to Vancouver. His music touches on topics such as depression, addiction and cultural alienation. It is eclectic in genre, ranging from indie rock, synth pop, to folk.
Hello Victim are an indie synthpop three-piece hailing from Vancouver, BC. Gleaning muse from EDM, hip hop, 80 and 90’s synth, and indie rock, the band has focused on creating a palatable yet original, challenging, and iconic sound. Combining dark, moody lyrics with bright dance music sensibilities, Hello Victim have set out conquer personal and relatable adversity with honesty and movement. https://www.facebook.com/hellovictimofficial
