IAN BADGER: 8.15-8.45pm
Heart breaking country music from the shores of Georgian bay — gentle finger picking and sincere lyricism are the foundations of Ian’s sad country songs. His honest performances reach a level of vulnerability that more often than not, have his audience leaving with a tear in their eye.

JOSH + BEX: 9.15-9.45pm
Josh + Bex are a Canadian Dream Folk duo out of Kelowna BC. Josh, with his Eastern soul-folk vibes and Bex, her melody-driven West Coast influence, together they make music that captures their tender vulnerabilities and draws listeners into their world with a deep-rooted transparency and open-hearted presence. Their sound is a unique blend of their individual histories and personal truths along the way to figuring out who they are as people, as well as song-writers. One thing is for sure—they have figured out how to collaborate with authenticity as they dedicate themselves to the creation of timeless art.

Kentucky Eileen is a brand new Canadiana quartet born from the bush in the South Interior of BC. Based around melodic swells and four-part harmony, four of BC's most beloved musical savants comprise the lineup; Joshua Smith (The Trips), Dan Tait (Tiger Moon), Sam Balson (Dope Folk, The Stone Sparrows), and Mitch Howanyk (Wild Son). Inspired by Roger Miller and Ricky Skaggs, this quartet takes traditional American folk and bluegrass and gives it a supremely Canadian flavour - sonically akin to The Band. They are all multi-instrumentalists, experienced storytellers, and storied entertainers - prepared to bring you a spectacular show.

Root Dwellers is a grassroots live music and interview series that provides an important and intimate platform to Vancouver music artists, both bands and solo artists. The setting is a distraction-free listening room at Spade Coffee & Spirits in the heart of Commercial Drive, East Vancouver. The audience can enjoy performances with an alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage and delicious food in a cosy, connected, inclusive space and be captivated and drawn into the artists creative realm.
